At TrailLight Explorers, we capture media content of each hike we go on and create original trail highlight videos that we lovingly refer to as TrailLights (full length hiking trail explorations) and Trailers (quick, informative sneak peeks of the accompanying full length TrailLight).
TrailLights provide a first-person point of view, as if you are hiking the trail yourself. The idea is NOT to replace actually hiking with watching, but rather to utilize the TrailLight content as a resource to determine if a specific trail is right for you.
It's common practice for trails to be labeled with their length, but it is extremely rare that they include the distance to and from the trailhead from where you actually started. Every TrailLight gives you the exact length from start to finish.
Nothing is going to give you insight into what the lay of the land is like, how long or steep that hillside is, how rocky or smooth that footpath is, or how inspiring that view is better than seeing it with your own eyes. First-person, HD video is the next best thing.
Obviously, our TrailLight videos only capture a snapshot moment of what the foot traffic on the trail is like, but you will still get a good idea of what the activity level was like on the day we went out.
The TrailLight Explorers YouTube Channel organizes and presents TrailLights by trail system, making it as easy as possible for you to locate and plan where you're going.
Each trail system specific playlist on the TrailLight Explorers YouTube Channel includes full length TrailLights and Trailers for every trail TLE has explored there. Our MAPS also provide detailed information!
